1 . How to Knit 1 X 1 rib
1 X 1 rib is most widely used for waist
bands in sweaters. cuffs. collars. pockets
and for many other decorative purposes
The rib is produced by h aving kn,t stitch
over knit.stitch and purl stitch over purl
stitch, in vertical lines. and is soft and
elastic.
In the following example. medium thick
ness wool 1s used for the practice
