Regular maintenance is important to assure reliable, long-lasting use of the machine.
In addition to periodically cleaning the machine, you should also apply oil at the specified locations.
8.2.1 Cleaning the machine
The places shown below must be cleaned on a routine basis.
Place extra care on keeping the area around the rotary hook and thread trimming knife clean, since
waste thread, dust, etc. tend to accumulate there. If not kept clean, the quality of the embroidery may
deteriorate. Make sure to adhere to the cleaning schedule.
Inside needle plate
1.
Use the Phillips end of the Z-shaped screwdriver
to remove the screws from the needle plate, and
then remove the needle plate from the bed.

Use the brush to clean away any dust or waste thread
that may have accumulated around the thread trimming
knife.
3.
After cleaning is finished, attach the needle plate to the
bed, and use the Phillips end of the Z-shaped screwdriver to fasten the screws.
