MAINTENANCE
Every 400 Hours
Inspecting the Hub Gear Oil
WARNING

Stop the engine and allow the machine
to cool down before performing
maintenance.
• The hubs are hot directly after the
engine is stopped. Touching them will
cause burns.
• The gear oil is also hot and under high
pressure.
Be careful when loosening plugs.
Working on the machine under these
conditions could result in burns or
injuries.

The pressure in the hubs reduction
gears case may cause oil or the plug
to fly out. Loosen the plug slowly to
release the pressure.
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Stop
the engine.
2. Set the hub so that the plug (1) is at the
level.
3. Remove the plug (1) from the hub
housing.
4. If oil can be reached with the tip of the
your finger through the hole, the oil level
is correct.
5. If the level is low, add oil through the check
plug hole until the oil flows from the hole.
6. Install and tighten the plug.
