SAFETY
Keep a safe distance from the overhead
high-voltage cables
PRECAUTIONS WHEN OPERATING
Never bring any part of the machine or
loaded material to near to the high voltage
cables unless all safety precautions required
by the local and national authorities have
been installed. If a person comes near to the
machine that is discharging sparks or
located near to or in contact with the power
source, there is a hazard of electric shock
and death.
• Always maintain a safe distance between
the machine and the high-voltage electric
cable.
• Check with the local power company
about safe operating procedure before
starting operations.
• Consider all cables to be high-voltage
cables and treat all cables as energized
even though it is known or believed that
the power is shut off and the cables are
visibly grounded.
• Use a signal person to give warning if the
machine approaches too close to the
high-voltage electric cables.
• Caution all personnel in the work area not
to come close to the machine or the
loaded material.
• Pay also careful attention to the high-
voltage electric cables buried underground.
