Counterfeit Detection Aid Errors - CF
The detectors fitted to this variant help to detect suspect counterfeits.
MG
has two parts to it.
PrES
(Magnetic Presence) and
Enh
(Magnetics)
This will detect magnetic presence and the magnetic qualities of the US Dollar.
UV
(UV) will detect the differences in the UV brightness of notes.
If, during normal operation of the machine, you see a Display Message:
CF 2
It means that a suspect note has been detected. In this case the suspect note would be
located in the stacker, being the second note back from the last note counted in the
stacker (see Fig 1 below).
It might display
CF 1
or
CF 3
this would mean either the first note or the third note back
from the top of the stacker.
As well as showing
CF
, the
UV
or
MG
Icon will flash to indicate a suspect error.
Examine the suspect notes. Either return the note to the stacker or replace it with a valid
note.
Press START/STOP to continue the count or remove all the notes from the stacker and
re-feed again.
