3) Connections
Plug your turntable into a suitable AC mains outlet socket (having already checked
that the voltage of your local electricity supply matches the label on the underside of
your turntable). The use of an after market filter or dedicated turntable power supply
will improve performance quite dramatically and are highly recommended.

Next, plug the two RCA phono plugs into the audio output sockets on the rear of your
turntable and connect the supplied earth lead at the ring end to the metal post (by
undoing the nut on the metal post completely).
You can then plug the other end of the phono cable into your amplifier (if it has a
phono stage fitted) or your outboard phono stage (depending on the type of cartridge
you have fitted) together with the fork end of your earth lead. If you do not have
phono stage or phono input in your amplifier, you will need one in order to use your
turntable. Please contact your authorised Edwards Audio dealer for assistance with
your purchase.
4) Adjustments
4.1) Arm cartridge set-up
Your authorised Edwards Audio dealer may have fitted a cartridge for you, in which
case you can skip this section and see Page 6 for information on ‘Setting the tracking
weight’. Fitting a cartridge can be quite difficult, especially if you have not done it
before. This step-by-step guide will help ensure that you fit your cartridge correctly.
Required tools: You will require a long nosed pair of pliers or better, a pair of round
nosed pliers and a suitable 2mm allen key to tighten the mounting bolts.
