Regulatory Compliance
This chapter describes various regulations that apply to the Quantum
Super DLTtape system, which include:

“Safety Regulations”
describes compliance with various standards published
by international safety organizations.

“Electromagnetic Field Specifications”
describes the susceptibility of the
SDLT tape drive to ambient electromagnetic fields, and describes the
susceptibility of the system to unexpected electrostatic discharge.
•
“Acoustic Noise Emissions”
describes compliance with various acoustic
standards.
7.1
Safety Regulations
This section lists the safety regulations that the SDLT tape system meets or
exceeds, such as UL, CSA, EN/IEC, and “GS” Mark.
7.1.1 Safety Certifications
The SDLT tape system meets or exceeds requirements for safety in the United
States (UL 1950), Canada (CSA950 C22.2 No. 950) and Europe (EN60950/
IEC 950), and is certified to bear the GS mark.
