TANDBERG Gateway
23
Dial from ISDN
•
The gateway starts to call the IP endpoint and the “Call proceeding” picture and sound are activated.
•
When the call is connected audio and video are transmitted through the gateway.
Hotline
Hotline is a service that allows incoming ISDN calls on a dedicated ISDN number, to be routed to an IP endpoint.
This is useful if you want to have an operator or helpdesk functionality together with DID, IVR and/or TCS-4.
Example:
•
Your ISDN PRI number range is from 67124000 to 67124050 and DID is enabled.
•
Hotline number assigned is 67124050.
•
An operator/helpdesk has got the H.323 Alias (extention) 98660.
•
A videoconferencing endpoint calls ISDN number 67124050.
•
The gateway starts to call the IP endpoint and the “Call proceeding” picture and sound are activated.
•
When the call is connected audio and video are transmitted through the gateway.
•
If needed, the Hotline operator can use Call Transfer to transfer the call to another IP endpoint.
Sequence of Services
To ensure best service to the incoming ISDN call, the gateway will first try to match the Hotline number, and then
the IVR/TCS-4 number before using DID (if enabled). If DID is disabled and no other number programmed, the call
will be routed to the IVR service (if enabled).
