Using a displayed menu screen
The menu screen usually appears when a DVD or vi-
deo CD containing a menu is loaded.
Press
S
/
T
/
W
/
X
to select the desired title/chapter and
press ENTER to start playback. Press TITLE or ME-
NU/PBC to return to the menu screen.
•
Press the numerical buttons to select the track of
your choice. Press RETURN to return to the me-
nu screen.
•
Menu options and menu operation may vary ac-
cording to the disc. Follow the instructions on the
menu screen.
Selecting a different TITLE
On discs containing several titles, select a different ti-
tle as follows:
•
Press DISPLAY during playback and then press
S
/
T
to select the title symbol. Press the relevant
number buttons (0-9) or
W
/
X
to select the desired
title number.
Time search function
Playback from a specific point on the disc:
1. Press DISPLAY during playback. The disc infor-
mation is displayed.
2. Press
S
/
T
to select the clock symbol.
3. Press the numerical buttons to enter the desired
start time in hours, minutes and seconds from left
to right. If you make an incorrect entry, press
W
/
X
to move the underscore cursor (_) to the incorrect
entry and then enter the correct number.
4. Press ENTER to confirm. Playback starts from the
selected time on the disc.
Camera angle
If the disc contains scenes that were recorded from
different camera perspectives, you can select the de-
sired camera angle during playback.
1. Press the ANGLE button during playback.
2. Press the button repeatedly to select the different
perspectives.
Note
This function is only available if the DVD
contains recordings taken from different ca-
mera angles.
Saving recent settings
The recorder saves the user settings for the last disc
that you viewed. The settings remain saved until you
press the Stop button (60) twice or insert another disc.
When you insert a disc whose settings have been sa-
ved, the disc automatically plays from the position
where the disc last stopped.
Note

The settings remain saved even if you
switch the recorder off (1) or to standby
(65).
•
The settings remain saved even if you
remove the DVD temporarily and insert
it again.
