General Safety Instructions
•
Never operate the computer in humid, dusty or dirty environments (85 %
maximum relative humidity). Ambient temperature of 5 to 30 °C.
•
When selecting the location where the device is to be set up, please
make sure...
−
that there are no direct heat sources (e.g. heaters) effecting the de-
vice, that the device is not exposed to direct sunlight or strong artificial
light and that the device is not subject to excessive vibrations.
−
that sufficient ventilation is always ensured. Do not place the device
on shelves, on a thick carpet, on a bed or anywhere where the ventila-
tion slots are covered, and ensure a distance of at least 10 cm on 5 of
the 6 sides.
−
that any contact with splashed and dripping water as well as liquids of
any kind is avoided and that the device is not operated in the vicinity
of water. In particular, the device may never be submerged. Do not
place objects filled with liquids, e.g. vases or drinks, onto or next to
the device.
−
that the device is not subject to extreme temperature fluctuations,
since this could result in condensation and electrical short circuits.
•
When connecting the PC, please note the following:
−
The wall outlet from which the device is operated must be in the vicin-
ity of the device and must be easy to reach.
−
Only connect the PC with the supplied power cable to a suitable 230 V
grounded safety outlet. Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables
that do not correspond to applicable safety standards, and do not
make any alterations to the power and power cables.
−
Only use the power supply included with the device. The power supply
is only suitable for operation using 230 V!
−
The power supply heats up during operation. Do not cover it and keep
it away from the body.
−
The device can be separated from the mains by pulling the mains
plug. If you disconnect the power supply from the wall outlet, only pull
by the plug, never the cable itself.
−
Place all power and data cables in such a way that nobody can trip
over them.
