TARGET FEED MASTER rev.09
Stability tolerance:
The weight reading may sometimes
be unstable since the scale slightly
moves after having being filled or due
of external vibration sources. The sta-
bility tolerance is the acceptable varia-
tion in the weight reading before the
feed can be dumped in the receiving
hopper. It can be adjusted from 1 to 1000 grams. In this case, the
stability tolerance can be increased to 150-175 grams. The default
stability tolerance value is set to 100 grams. Do NOT change this value
unless weighing errors caused by wind or other vibration source occur.
Empty Tolerance
Vibrations produced by the output auger can cause variations in the
weight reading of the scale (when a scale without valve is in use).
Consequently, the weight reading of an empty scale is likely to differ
from 0kg. The controller uses the Empty Tolerance parameter value to
know when the scale is empty: it is considered as being empty when
its weight is of 0kg +/- Empty Tolerance. The Empty Tolerance can be
adjusted from 0 to 5,000g.
*
Accessible if a scale without valve is used.
Mix each batch:
Enable this function for ingredients to be weighed
individually within a batch; disable it for ingredients to be weighed
together (see example below).
*
This option is only accessible if blends are used, if a scale with valve is enabled
above, and if no mixer is used. This weighing method is automatically performed
if your scale does not have a valve.
Example:
100 kg of feed needs be sent to the receiving hopper, and the
blend composed of 30% from bin 1 and 70% from bin 2:
Mix each batch - disabled:
30 kg of bin 1 is weighed in the scale and is then dumped in the
receiving hopper. The second ingredient (70kg of bin 2) then starts
being weighed.

Amount of feed remaining in the selected bin.
Today
:
Amount of feed that was taken away from the bin
today.
Add Feed:
Amount of feed added to the bin. This value automati-
cally returns to zero after a 10 second delay as explained
in the previous section.
Overfill:
This feature can only be accessed from the installer's
mode (s. 5.8.1). This is the leftover amount of feed
that falls into the scale after the bin auger motor is
stopped. The overfill value is automatically defined by
the controller and cannot be modified.
