6. Mounting the unit
mounting
ProSpot
can operate in any mounting position.
The structure from which the unit is hung should be of sufficient rating to hold the
weight of the unit, as should any clamps used to hang the unit.
The structure should also be sufficiently rigid so as not to move or shake whilst the
ProSpot moves during its operation.
The
M8
mounting holes in the base of the
ProSpot
marked
A1 A2 B1 B2
allow
the projector to have hook clamps fitted for the purpose of hanging.
The mounting plate shown below may be affixed to the base of the
ProSpot
using
M10 bolts,
the slots allowing varying angles of mounting to be attained as well
as being able to be mounted on truss of various dimensions.
protection against liquids
The projector contains electric and electronic components that must not come into
contact with water, oil, or any other liquid.
movement
The projector has a movement of 530° in the base and 280° in the yoke;
DO NOT
place any obstructions in the path of the projector’s movement.
safety chain
The use of two safety chains (cod. 069) - fixed to the
ProSpot
and to the primary
suspension point, is highly recommended to protect against accidental failure,
however unlikely, of the primary suspension point.
If using an after-market safety chains not manufactured by
tas
, ensure that they are
of sufficient rating to hold the weight of the fixture.
The safety chains are affixed via the 2 holes provided in the base of the unit, as
shown in the following diagram.
risk of fire
Each fixture produces heat and must be installed in a well-ventilated position. The
minimum recommended distance from flammable material is: 0.5m. Minimum
distance from the object being illuminated is: 2 m.
