3 While the beginnings of the tracks are being
loaded into memory, the word

blinks on
the display. After loading completes,

4 Press the number button for the program number
(when program set) or track number (when
program not set) that you want to play.
To select numbers between 11 and 20, press the
CLEAR [1-10/11-20] button, so that
FLASH 11-

appears on the display, and then press the
corresponding number button. Press the CLEAR [1-
10/11-20] button again to return to
FLASH 1-10
.
Using the remote control:
1 Prepare the program as necessary.
2 Press the FLASH button.

Exiting flash start mode

Using the front panel buttons:
When in shift mode (SHIFT indicator lit), press the 1
[FLASH] number button to exit flash start mode.
Using the remote control:
Press the FLASH button to exit flash start mode.
Relay playback
Multiple CD-500 and CD-500B units can be used together
and set so that when playback ends on one unit, playback
can automatically start on another unit.
To do this, connect the
CONTROL I/O START (RELAY IN)
connector on the rear panel of the CD-500/CD-500B to
the
CONTROL I/O DISC EOM (RELAY OUT)
on another
CD-500/CD-500B with a cable and enable relay playback
mode on both units.
To enable relay playback mode, set the
06 RELAY
menu item to
ON
.
By connecting two CD-500/CD-500B units in both
directions as shown in illustration below, alternating
playback between them is possible.

By connecting three or more CD-500/CD-500B units in
sequence (
CONTROL I/O START (RELAY IN)
to
CONTROL
I/O DISC EOM (RELAY OUT)
) as shown below, automatic
playback of one unit after the other is possible.
NOTE
The relay playback function on/off setting is retained even
when the power is turned off.
