STOP key (1)
Stops playback on drive 1.

PLAY key (1)
Starts playback on drive 1.

READY key (1)
Pauses playback on drive 1.
M
CONT PLAY key and indicator
When
lit, allows continuous playback between drives 1 and
2 (when 1 finishes, 2 starts, and so on).
N
OPEN/CLOSE (2)
Opens and closes the tray
of drive 2.
O
A-B COPY key
Starts the copying process of
data between points A and B between drives 1 and 2.
P
DISPLAY key (2)
Changes the time display
type of drive 2.
Q
FINALIZE key
Used when finalizing record-
able discs. Also serves as a confirm key when enter-
ing disc and track titles.
R
ERASE key
Used when erasing data from
CD-RW discs. Also serves as a delete key when
entering disc and track titles.
S
FADER key
Starts automatic fade in and fade
out when recording.
T
SYNC REC
Turns synchronized recording of
the disc recorder on and off.
U
CALL key (2)
This key moves playback
position to the last playback See “Cue point” on
page 22.
V
REC MUTE key
When recording and this is
pressed, records several seconds of silence before
entering record ready mode (the amount of silence is
set by menu operations).
W
Disc tray (2)
Holds the disc for drive 2.
X
Drive 2 display
Shows track and playback
information, etc. for drive 1, as well as the menu
parameters and settings.
Y
INPUT control
This control adjusts the level
of an analog signal sent to the drive.
Z
JOG key and indicator (2)
Press to light
the indicator. When it is lit, this allows the playback
position of the disc in drive 2 to be adjusted (see
“Using the jog function” on page 23).

MULTI DIAL (2)
Turn this to select menu
parameters, and values for menu parameters, and
press it to select the parameters and set the values.
It can also be used for selecting tracks for playback,
etc. as explained in the appropriate sections of this
manual.

MENU key (2)
Press this in order to bring up
the menu selections for drive 2.

SEARCH keys (2)
Allow “fast forward”
and “fast rewind”.

STOP key (2)
Stops playback or recording
on drive 2.

PLAY key (2)
Starts playback or recording
on drive 2.

READY key (2)
Puts the drive into play
ready or record ready mode, depending on the previ-
ous state.

RECORD key
Puts the drive into record
ready mode.

INPUT SELECTOR key
Allows the choice
of the analog inputs, either of the digital inputs, or
the internal drive 1 as a recording source.

BALANCE control
Controls the left-right
balance of an analog signal sent to the drive.

KEYBOARD connector
Connect a stan-
dard computer PS/2 keyboard here for use with
titling, etc. (see “CD TEXT” on page 42).
