PHONES OUT switch
1 (2):
Outputs Deck 1 (Deck 2) playback signals from the
PHONES jack.

Outputs input signals when performing record-
ing/record-pause/sampling monitor.
MIX:
Outputs mixed playback signals from both Deck 1
and Deck 2.

Adjusts PHONES jack signal output level.

To rewind the tape.

To play back the tape. (LED lights.)

Temporarily stops the tape during recording or play-
back. (LED lights.) To resume recording or playback,
press the PLAY key.

Engages the Play-Pause mode when pressed in the
Stop mode.

Engages the Record-Pause mode when pressed
together with the RECORD key.
·
To protect the heads, the Play-Pause mode is auto-
matically released after about 8 minutes and the
Stop mode is engaged.

Sampling Monitor mode is engaged.

Sampling Monitor mode:
As in the Record-Pause mode, the Sampling
Monitor mode allows you to monitor input signals.
The difference is that the head drum does not rotate
in the Sampling Monitor mode and there is no con-
tact between head and tape.

Press to write/erase ID of each type.

DUBBING key
Press to execute dubbing.
When the dubbing mode is selected with the DUB
MODE key, the LED blinks. Pressing this key in this
status starts dubbing operation and the LED lights.
