Turning the unit on and off

CAUTION

Turn down the volume of the sound system connected to the
unit before starting up or shutting down the unit.

Do not wear connected headphones when turning the unit
on and off. Loud noises could damage the speakers or harm
your hearing.
Before turning the power on
1.
Connect an included AC cord to the AC IN connector (

).
2.
Connect input sources to the MIC/LINE input jacks (
v
),
LINE IN (BAL) jacks (
b
), ST IN 1 L/R jacks (

) and ST IN 2
L/R jacks (
(
).
3.
Connect monitor speakers (powered monitor speakers or
an amp and speaker system) and other line level inputs to
the analog output jacks (

) and MONITOR OUT L/R jacks

).
4.
If necessary, connect a computer or other external device to
the USB port (

).
5.
Make connections with the FOOTSWITCH (

) and GPIO

) connectors if using them.
Turning the power on
1.
Use the POWER switch (

) to turn the unit on.
2.
Turn on connected monitor speakers (powered speakers or
an amplifier and speaker system).
Turning the power off
1.
Turn off connected amplifiers and powered speakers.
2.
Press the MENU key (
q
) to open the Menu Screen, and tap
the Save Current Settings item.
3.
Tap the SAVE button to save the current settings to the
internal memory.
4.
Use the POWER switch (
)
) to turn the unit off.

CAUTION
Do not turn the power off or disconnect the power cord
when the unit is operating (including recording, playing
back, writing data to an SD card or USB flash drive, or saving
settings to the internal memory). Doing so could cause
proper recording to fail, recorded data to be lost, and sudden
loud noises from monitoring equipment, which might
damage the equipment, harm hearing or cause other trouble.

LCD knobs and touchscreens
The LCD knobs can be used to control the parameters shown
and selected on the touchscreen above them.
When LCD knobs can be used, the corresponding indicators
light.

Main screens
Home Screen (shown on all touchscreens)

The Home Screen, which appears immediately after the unit
is started, shows channel strips in a row on the touchscreen.
o
Press the HOME key (

) on the top of the unit to open the
Home Screen.
o
This enables showing and operating the main parameters of
multiple modules as well as showing various meters.
o
Tap parameters to select them, and use the LCD knobs (

)
to adjust them.
