TROUBLESHOOTING
The following pages provide troubleshooting tips for the vehicle. These troubleshooting tips are suggestions for the possible problem and repair
only; see an authorised service center for expert vehicle repair.

POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
1. ENGINE
Engine will not crank
Low battery voltage
–
Check battery voltage and electrolyte level
– Add electrolyte as necessary
– Attempt to jumper start vehicle
Battery terminals loose or corroded
– Clean and coat battery terminals with petroleum jelly
– Tighten terminal connections
Maxi Fuse blown
– Replace Maxi fuse
Engine cranks but
does not start
Air in fuel system
– Bleed air from fuel system (at fuel filter)
– Check system for leaks
Vehicle out of fuel
– Add fuel
Engine stop solenoid fuse blown
– Check fuse, replace as necessary
EMS not responding, Check engine light ‘ON’
– Rectify the problem at the nearest TATA Motors Service
point.
Check Engine Lamp
Illuminates
Engine control system detects a fault
– Have the source of the fault check by an authorised service
outlet immediately
Engine Overheats
Engine coolant level low
– Check system for leaks
– Add 50/50 premixed coolant to reservoir ‘MAX’ mark
Engine oil level low
– Check engine oil level
Air in cooling system
– Bleed air from cooling system
