KEYS AND VEHICLE LOCKS
Keys
Your Tata Motors Indigo comes with three (3) identical keys. These keys operate
the following locks on your vehicle:
Door locks
Trunk lock
Glove box
Steering lock / ignition switch
Some models are equipped with a key-in audio warning reminder to alert the
driver to remove the key. The beeper will stop after several seconds. Always
keep one key in a safe location in case a key is misplaced or becomes locked
inside the vehicle.
Door Locks
The driver’s door and front passenger’s door can be locked and unlocked from
outside the vehicle using one of the keys that came with the vehicle. Insert the key
into the lock and turn clockwise to unlock and anticlockwise to lock the door. Once
the door is unlocked, open the door by pulling upward on the exterior handle, 1.
While inside the vehicle, each of the doors can be locked using the locking
/ unlocking lever at the interior door handle. To lock the door, move the lever
towards the door handle. To unlock, push the lever towards the front of the vehicle.
Orange will be visible on the lever, indicating the door can be opened from the
inside (and outside). Open the door by pulling back on the door handle.

NOTE
Do not leave keys inside the vehicle. The vehicle may be stolen
or the key may accidentally be locked inside.
Use only genuine Tata Motors keys to operate the vehicle.
These keys are available from your Tata Motors Dealer.
