CONTROLS & FEATURES – Lighting Controls
LIGHTING CONTROLS
The light stalk is located on the right side of the combination switch. The light
stalk controls vehicle lighting such as the head lamps, tail lamps, position/parking
lamps, turn indicator lamps, and fog lamps (as equipped). If the ignition switch
is removed from the ignition with the lighting on, the audio warning reminder
(beeper) will sound until the lights are switched off (as equipped).
Lighting ON/OFF Control
The lighting ON/OFF control is performed from the light stalk. The head lamp
ON/OFF control is a rotary switch on the end of the light stalk. The switch has
three positions: “OFF”, “Position Lamps”, and “Head Lamps”. The switch is
equipped with detents that secure the switch in the selected position.
OFF - When the switch is in the “OFF” position, none of the vehicle
exterior lamps illuminate.
POSITION/PARKING LAMPS
- When the switch is in the “Position/
Parking Lamp” location (rotated one detent forward), the position lamps,
tail lamps, registration plate lamps, and dash panel lamps will illuminate.
HEAD LAMPS - When the switch is in the “Head Lamp” position
(rotated two detents forward), the head lamps will illuminate, along with
the lamps that illuminate in the position/parking lamp setting.
Head Lamp High Beam / Low Beam Control
The head lamp high/low beam mode switching is performed using the light stalk.
The light stalk has three positions for high/low beam control. Switching between
modes is performed by moving the switch away from or towards the driver.
Low Beam - This is the middle default position on the light stalk.
High Beam - Push forward on the light stalk to activate the high beams.
Momentary Flash - This momentarily flashes the high beams to alert
oncoming traffic. Returns to the low beam position when released.
