STEERING LOCK CUM IGNITION
SWITCH :
Key of ignition switch is common for
door lock and steering lock .
The ignition switch is on the right side
of the steering column. It has four
positions. Turn the key clockwise for
further functions.
Illuminated Key Ring (If fitted) :
To assist you to locate your vehicle’s
ignition switch in the dark, the steering
lock cum ignition switch comes with
an illuminated key ring. When the
vehicle is unlocked, the illuminated
key ring activates.
1. LOCK:
The steering column is
locked when the key is removed. You
can insert or remove the key only in
this position.
2. ACC:
Steering column is unlocked
when the key moved from lock to ACC
position and activates electrical
accessories.
1. LOCK
- Steering Locked.
‘KEY IN / OUT condition.
2. ACC
- Steering Column Unlock
3. IGN
- All electrical ‘ON’
4. START
- Engine Crank
3. IGN:
All electricals and accessories
are switched ON.
4. START:
Press the clutch pedal fully
and turn the key further clockwise to
the START position, (spring loaded) to
start the engine. As soon as the
engine starts, release the ignition key,
which returns to ON position. While
cranking, all accessories will be
momentarily ‘OFF’.
NOTE
The Starter Protection System fitted
in this vehicle does not allow you to
crank the engine until you fully press
the clutch pedal.
Keep the clutch pedal fully pressed
and crank the engine, if the engine
cranks but fails to start then repeat
the above procedure. Release the key
as soon as the engine starts.
Ensure that the "MIL" lamp is "OFF".
Do not press the accelerator pedal.
