Fertilizer Furrow Opening
The fertilizer row units possess adjustments to
control the working down pressure on the ground:
1st
- Holes for the spring guide mounting:
A
- Bigger pressure;
B
- Smaller pressure.
2nd
- Threads in the spring guide, for the fine
adjustment of the working down pressure.
Establish the same adjustment in all the row
units.
The opening of the furrow for fertilizer placement can
be done through
unaligned double-discs or scarifier
spindle.
Unaligned Double-Disc Openers:
These openers possess internal scrapers that are
flexible and adjustable to remove the soil accumulated in
their internal parts.
Oscillating Coulter Blades (No Till)
The coulter blades possess movements
of lateral oscillation to follow curves in the
field.
During the work do not change the
travel direction suddenly. It can cause
damages to the row unit components.
The vertical oscillation (or Flotation) of
the coulters is provided by the springs, that
should maintain the adjusted pressure from
the factory and to allow the necessary
articulation to accompany the ground and
to transpose obstacles.
The adjustment of the height of the
coulters in relation to the soil should be used
to increase or to decrease the depth cut of
the coulters through the bolts.
Avoid to deepen the coulter blades
unnecessarily.
