Row Markers
The use of the row markers is very important, because it is through them that a
plantation will be gotten with uniform spacing. Later on, it will facilitate the cultivation
and crop.
For adjusting the distance of the disc markers, it is enough to displace the
extension arm until the desired position. This distance should be obtained by the
following way:
Note: FOR THIS PRACTICAL ADJUSTMENT IT IS NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN THE SAME
TRACTOR WHEEL TREAD IN BOTH FRONT AND REAR WHEELS; THAT IS, THE CENTER
TO CENTER OF THE FRONT TIRES WITH THE SAME MEASURE OF THE REAR TIRES.
FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS THAT PROCEED WITH THE DRAWING OF THE NEXT
PAGE.
- Move some meters with the planter working.
- Measure the distance (A) between the center of the tractor track and the
center of the first seed row (row of the machine extremity).
- The founded measure is added to the measure of the row spacing (B) used in
the machine.
- The result is the distance (C) that should exist between the disc of the row marker
and the center of the first seed row (row of the machine extremity).
Example:
A - Center of the tractor track to the center of the first seed row = 800 mm.
B - Row Spacing of the crop = 500 mm.
C - Distance to be adjusted (?).
Thus,
A
+ B
= C
800 + 500 = 1,300 mm.
C = 1,300 mm.
This is the distance between the center of the first seed row and the marker disc
touching the soil.
