Adjustments and operations
The overlaying range should be of such a width that the product concentration in this
area is the same in comparison to the rest of the application range, providing an improved
distribution.
Marking the passes in the field
DCA 1200 effective distribution width is usually wider than 12 m, which may be difficult
to see between passes. Therefore, it is advisable to mark the land with posts showing the
set spacing, in order to achieve an optimal distribution.
Setting the working width
Distribution of seed and fertilizer using plate spreaders always cause less concentration
of the product at the edges of the working range.
In order to provide an even distribution, re-cover (overlay) the edges of the immediately
previous pass in relation to the current one, to make up for the deficiency in the application
at the edges of the transversal section.
