Filtering element replacement indicator
Maintenance
The main function of the pressure filters is to protect complex systems or critical
particle components that may cause damages or the malfunction of valves or hydraulic
motors, what would reduce the equipment durability.
The contamination indicators help to monitor the filter. As the contamination on the
filtering element increases, the loss of pressure on the filter carcass rises. As soon as the
determined limit is reached, the contamination indication shows the need for a replacement.
Differential pressure of activation:
6 bar ± 10%.
Maximum working temperature:
82ºC.
For cold starts, the contamination indicator may activate due to the increasement on
the viscosity of the hydraulic fluid.
Wait until the fluid reaches a normal working temperature. If the filtering element is
not contaminated, the indicator will reset automatically, otherwise the filtering element
must be replaced.
Use hydraulic filters and keep them in good conditions to assure a greater
lifetime of your equipment and to lower costs with repairs and maintenance.
NOTE
The contamination indicator is activated by the pressure that comes
from the saturation of the filtering element, meaning that a replacement
is required.
When the indicator is red, replace the filtering element.
