2.2. Personal safety:
2.2.1. Do not use the appliance with wet feet.
2.2.2. Always use the appliance with bare feet -re-
move any socks or shoes
2.3. Use and care:
2.3.1. Do not move the appliance while in use.
2.3.2. Do not overload the appliance’s weight capac ity.
2.3.3. Remove the batteries from the appliance if you
are not going to use it for a while.
2.3.4. This appliance is not for professional or indus-
trial or medical/hospital use, it is intended for house-
hold use only.
2.3.5. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
2.3.6. This appliance is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
2.3.7. This appliance should be stored out of reach of
children and/or the disabled.
2.3.8. Do not store the appliance in a vertical
position.
2.3.9. CAUTION: Do not use the appliance if the glass
is cracked or broken.
2.3.10. Any misuse or failure to follow the instruc-
tions for use renders the guarantee and the manufac-
turer’s liability null and void.
2.4. Assembling the battery/s Caution:
2.4.1. During the handling of batteries, do not touch
both poles at the same time, as this will provoke the
partial discharge of the stocked energy therefore affect-
ing longevity.
2.4.2. Remove the cover of the battery compartment.
2.4.3. Check that the plastic covering that protects the
battery has been removed (some batteries are sold
with a protective covering)
2.4.4. Put the battery in its compartment. Caution:
During the handling of batteries, do not touch both
poles at the same time, as this will provoke the partial
discharge of the stocked energy therefore affecting
longevity.
2.4.5. Replace the cover of the battery compartment.
2.4.6. It is essential that the batteries should always
be the same kind and the same charge. Never mix
alkaline batteries with normal one (Carbon- Zinc) and/
or rechargeable ones.
2.4.7. N.B. When changing the batteries, the configu-
ration of the appliance will be removed, and you will
need to reset the parameters of the appliance.
2.5. Battery assemble
2.5.1. Insert the 2 x AAA batteries (Included). See
figure 1 (Note: Make sure battery is pushed all the way
into its slot).
3. Instructions for use
3.1. Before use:
3.1.1. Prepare the appliance according to the function
you wish to use:
3.1.2. Weighing units’ selector Kg/Lb.
3.1.3. The appliance has a selector of weighing units;
put the selector in the position according to those units
you want to work with. (KG/LB) use:
3.1.4. To do so, press the “unit” button, the measuring
unit selected will then be shown on screen one after
the other under the scale.
3.2. Normal weighing system:
3.2.1. Gently press the surface of the scale with your
foot to switch it on and wait for the screen to show
“0,0” on the screen.
3.2.2. Place yourself in the centre of the platform
avoiding abrupt movements and without touching other
objects, until the appliance shows your weight.
