3.3. Programming personal data
3.3.1. Gently press the surface of the scale with your
foot to switch it on.
3.3.2. Press the Set button and use Up/down button to
find the memory number under which you wish to save
your personal data (10 memories available P0-P9).
Then press the Set button to confirm your choice.
3.3.3. Log in your height using the up/down buttons
and confirming by using Set button. Note you can also
use the unit selector button under the scale to select
height measure (Centimetre CM). These
steps can be repeated to program the remain- ing 9
memories if desired.
3.3.4. Log in your age using the up/down buttons and
confirming by using Set button.
3.3.5. Select male or female by using up/down but tons
and confirming by pressing Set button.
3.3.6. Once you have set your profile, press the “set”
button and select your profile. Your saved data will
briefly flash onto the screen of the scale.
3.4. To measure Water, Bone and Muscle Percentage
3.4.1. Gently press the surface of the scale with your
foot to switch it on.
3.4.2. Press the Set button and use Up/down button to
find the memory number under which you wish to save
your personal data (9 memories available). Then press
the Set button to confirm your choice.
3.4.3. Place down the scale and place your body at the
centre on top of the metal sensors. Remember to be
bare feet.
3.4.4. Remain still on the scale while the scale is
calculating. The scale will show flashing “000” while
busy calculating. Once done, the scale will flash results
in the following sequence:
3.4.5. Body Fat %, Body Water % (Hydration), Bone
% and Muscle %. See below the icons displayed on
the scale.
The results will repeatedly flash 2 times and then the
scale will switch off.
3.5. Calculate percentage body fat:
3.5.1. This appliance has the built-in option to calculate
the percentage of your body fat by using bioelectrical
impedance techniques.
3.5.2. This analysis measures the different conductivity
between the muscle mass and body mass formed by
fat cells using very low-intensity electrical micro cur-
rent that runs through the lower members of the body.
3.5.3. The percentage body weight is calculated using
the procedure described above and also involves the
following variables: height, age, gender and weight.
3.5.4. Optimum results according to standards gener-
ally applied to adults:
3.5.5. Men: 14 – 24%
3.5.6. Women: 20 – 30%
• Any results below these indicators are considered
underweight and higher than these are considered
overweight.
• In the event of doubt, consult your doctor or pharma-
cist for clarification.
Automatic disconnection function:
(Stand-by):
• In order to save energy, the appliance passes to
stand-by after few seconds if the user does not use it.
• To return to normal operation simply press lightly on the
weighing platform and wait for the screen to show “0.0”.
Once you have finished using the appliance:
• Remove the battery from the appliance if you are not
intending to use the appliance during an extended period.
Special messages:
• The following messages can appear on the screen:
• Err: means that there’s an error in the body fat per-
centage measurement.
Cleaning:
• Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few
drops of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or
base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for
cleaning the appliance.
• Never submerge the appliance in water or any other
liquid or place it under running water.
Supplies:
Only the following type of supplies must be used with
the appliance (Fig. 4)
• Lo: means that the battery has to be
changed/re charged.
• oL: means that the appliance’s capacity has
been exceeded
