17. Remove the carrier bearing race from the 3rd member
housing.
18. Remove the front bearing from the input shaft.
NOTE: The input shaft may have to be
driven out to perform this
procedure.
19. Remove the input shaft’s shims and spacer.
20. Remove the pinion shaft from the 3rd member.
21. Remove the front and rear pinion bearing races.
22. Inspect all parts for signs of wear or damage.
23. Thoroughly clean all parts.
