CHECK OIL LEVEL
Fluid type and capacities are listed in the Lubrication
chapter.
1: Park the vehicle on a level surface and block the
front wheels.
2: Place a level on top of the motor.
3: Raise the rear of the vehicle until the level
indicates that the drive is level with the ground.
4: Place an oil drain pan underneath the 3rd
member.
5:
Remove the 3rd member fill/level plug.
6: The oil level should be very close to the bottom of
the level plug opening.
•
If the oil level is below the bottom of the
opening, add oil as required until level with the
bottom of the opening. Refer to Lubrication
section for oil specification.
•
If oil comes out of the opening, allow to drain
until level with the bottom of the opening.
7:
Replace the fill/level plug. Torque to the
specification listed in the table at the end of this
section.
8:
Remove the primary reduction case fill/level plug.
9: The oil level should be very close to the bottom of
the level plug opening.
•
If the oil level is below the bottom of the
opening, add oil as required until level with the
bottom of the opening. Refer to Lubrication
section for oil specification.
•
If oil comes out of the opening, allow to drain
until level with the bottom of the opening.
10: Reconnect the batteries and test drive.

WARNING
CHANGE OIL
Fluid type and capacities are listed in the lubrication
section in the General Maintenance chapter.
1: Raise the rear of the vehicle and support with
jack stands.
2: Place a drain pan under the 3rd member and
primary reduction gear case.
3: Remove the drain plugs from the 3rd member
and primary reduction gear case.
4: Replace the drain plugs once the oil has drained.
Torque to the specification listed in the table at
the end of this section.
5: Remove the 3rd member and primary reduction
fill/level plugs and fill with oil.
• Refer to Check Oil Level procedure for proper
oil level.
• Refer to Lubrication section for oil specification.
6:
Replace the fill plug.
7: Reconnect the batteries and test drive.
