TBS is pleased to release a forceps warmer designed to melt paraffin from forceps used in
handling cassettes and metal molds at your embedding stations.  This product offers an
affordable replacement for those burnt out warmers built into embedding stations.  Its small
size enables the warmer to fit on any countertop or conveniently next to an embedding
station.

INSTRUCTIONS

Remove your new forceps warmer form the shipping carton carefully.  Save all packing
material until proper operation of the unit is confirmed.  If damage is apparent, contact TBS
immediately.

NOTE:

There is no assembly required for the operation of this instrument.

1.

Before plugging the unit in, make certain that the electrical requirements of
the outlet agree with the electrical specifications of the unit.

2.

Plug the unit into a standard three wire grounded outlet.

3.

Push the control switch to the "ON" positions.  The switch should light up,

indicating the forceps warmer is on.

4.

Allow approximately 30 minutes for the warmer to reach melting temperature.

5.

The forceps warmer will achieve an approximate temperature of 95° C and
remain constant.

NOTE:

Consistent line voltage between 118-120 should be

maintained for constant current flow to the heating element.  Excessively warm
or cool room temperatures will also affect the temperature of the unit.

CAUTION:  Do not touch the outer casing of the forceps warmer when in use.
Prolonged contact could cause a mild burn.

6.

Turn off the warmer when not in use for prolonged periods to save electricity,
and increase the life of the heating element.
