Setting up the sewing machine
Place the sewing machine on a level
and stable surface. Check that there is
no risk of the sewing machine slipping.
If the sewing machine wobbles, one of
the feet can be adjusted. The foot can
be turned in two directions.
– Clockwise: to lower it
– Anticlockwise: to raise it.
Connecting the sewing machine
to the power supply
1. Insert the foot pedal plug into the
appropriate socket of the sewing
machine.
2. Plug the sewing machine into a
power supply.
Regulate the sewing speed using the
foot pedal.
Switching the sewing machine on
Switch on the sewing machine with the
main switch. When you switch on the
sewing machine its lamp is also auto-
matically turned on.
Presser foot lever
Raise the presser foot lever in order to
feed in the fabric.
The presser foot lever should be
lowered for all sewing operations. This
includes sewing extremely thick fabric,
embroidering, darning, sewing on
buttons, etc.

Insert the spindle from the accesso-
ries kit into its socket (see arrow).
