Explanation
Action required
Manually key card
A card has been swiped 3 times
and the terminal is unable to read
the card.
Manually key in the credit card.
Max number of
Admins exceeded
The user tried to create more than
nine administrator users.
Delete an unused administrator ID
to make room for the new one.
Max number of
Clerks exceeded
The user tried to create more than
200 clerk users.
Delete an unused clerk ID to make
room for the new one.
Max number of
Merchants exceeded
The user tried to create more than
200 merchant users.
Delete an unused merchant ID to
make room for the new one.
Max retries exceeded
The maximum number of tap
attempts has been exceeded.
Re-initiate the transaction.
Mobile setup incomplete
The terminal is missing communica-
tions information and communica-
tions priorities have not been set.
Complete the communications
setup for each of your communica-
tions methods.
Must settle batch
A function has been attempted that
requires an empty batch, changing
a parameter or deleting a clerk that
has a transaction in the open
batch.
OR
The attempt to settle the existing
batch has failed and further
transactions are not allowed.
Close the batch and retry the
function.
Try to settle the batch again. If there’s
a error code on the printed report,
please contact

“N” Error codes
Explanation
Action required
Network already exists
An attempt was made to create a
network profile but it already exists.
This message does not mean that the
device is connected to this network.
Connect to the terminal to the
network if necessary.
Network error
An attempt was made to connect
to the host via TCP/IP. The
connection works but the terminal
is unable to send or receive data.
