Basic Operation

Select a source by pressing the iPod button or the AUX
1/2 button.

Play the source and adjust the volume using the
VOLUME buttons.

Turn on the subwoofer.

Press the STANDBY/ON button of the remote control
unit to turn the Dock on.

Press the iPod button to select iPod mode. If an iPod is already
docked, playback will start.

In iPod mode, press the Play/Pause button (

) to start or

pause playback.

Insert the iPod into the Dock.

Then press the Play/Pause button (

y

/

J

) on the iPod. The

Dock will automatically turn on and start playback from
the iPod’s music list.

If the iPod that is in playback mode is inserted into the Dock,
the Dock will automatically turn on and start playback of the
iPod.

If you remove the iPod during playback, the Dock
automatically turns off.

Make sure to use an appropriate Dock adapter (see “Getting
started” on page 8).

The battery of the iPod is recharged to the full when the iPod
is docked and the POWER switch of the subwoofer is ON.

<

When headphones are plugged into the iPod, sound comes
from both the speakers of the SP-X2i and the headphones.
