OPERATION (see page 3, picture
)
THIS APPLIANCE CAN BE USED INDOORS OR OUTDOORS, AND IN BOTH CASES IT CAN BE USED ON
ITS STAND OR ON A TABLE (WITHOUT PARTS 8, 9 AND 10).
The grill features two possible heights for slow or fast cooking. When the grill rack is on the lowest
level, your food will cook fast. On the high level, the food will cook more slowly. To adapt the
height, just insert the feet of the grill rack in the appropriate holes (see page 2, picture
).
USE
•
Pour water into the water tray (grill casing) and make sure that the water level is not under
the minimum mark (MIN) or above the maximum mark (MAX).
•
Mount the metal stake and the reflector (cf. "MOUNTING").
•
To reduce the emission of smoke, you must fill the reflector with water (+/- 0.5 litres) and
make sure that this water level is maintained during use.
•
Insert the heating element onto the grill casing as described on the picture
(insert the
thermostat into the foreseen opening in the front of the grill casing and make sure that the
grill casing enters into the slot at the right side of the thermostat and that the small metal
plate enters into the grill casing; to make this happen, slightly tilt the heating element
upwards), and finally set the grill rack over it.
•
Connect the appliance and switch it on using the thermostat knob (turn the thermostat
knob to its maximal position). The pilot light will come on to indicate that the appliance has
been switched on.
•
Then preheat the grill for about 5 minutes and select the desired cooking temperature using
the thermostat knob.
•
During cooking, the pilot light will go off when the cooking temperature is reached. It will
come on when the appliance is heating again.
•
Now put the foodstuffs onto the grill rack.
•
There are 2 grill positions (page 2, picture
), according to the desired cooking intensity.
•
The grilling times vary according to the nature of the foodstuffs and to your personal taste.
•
When grilling is finished, put the thermostat in its minimal position
(position “
0
”)
and
disconnect the appliance.
PRACTICAL HINTS
•
Frozen food should always be thawed before it is grilled.
•
When grilling big quantities, it is recommended to occasionally carefully remove the
accumulated fat from the reflector.
