Supplementary Description for Address 6:
Bit 1 & 2:
If both RESET or both SET, the [CHECK TEND] key functions as tender and total key.
Bit 3:
RESET status ............... Prints the sale total amount.
SET status .................... Prints the tendered amount.
In case of a short-tender, the tendered amount is always printed regardless of this bit status
selection.
Bit 4:
RESET status ............... Customers’ checks cannot be cashed outside a sale.
SET status .................... Customers’ checks can be cashed with no purchase outside a sale.
Bit 5:
This Bit status selection is effective only in tendering operation.
SET status .................... If this bit is SET and also Address 11 - Bit 1 is SET (for Short-tendering
Prohibited), an amount equal to the sale total is always required for
tendering.
Bit 8:
SET status .................... When the [CHECK TEND] key is operated, the SLIP lamp will flicker
to prohibit all the operations (including control lock position change
and cashier key change) other than the validation print. The status of
this bit is applicable in the REG or MGR position, and is not applicable
in the “ - ” position. When the [CHECK TEND] key is depressed, the
drawer will not open. It will open when the [VALIDATE] key is
depressed.
