CONNECTING BATTERIES

The battery compartment is located inside the
CD Compartment.
Open the CD Door.
Open the battery compartment cover and
insert two "AA" alkaline batteries (not
supplied) in the compartment as indicated.
Do not use

Close the battery cover and shut the CD door.

Zinc/Carbon, or Zinc/Chloride

batteries as th will result in very short
playing times.

CONNECTING AN EXTERNAL POWER SOURCE

Use only an approved UK 4.5V DC power
adaptor (not supplied). Ensure the
polarity of the DC connector matches the
player (see diagram).

Remove them from the player

before connecting the power supply.

Load an MP3 Disc
Close the door.

into the Disc compartment.

The disc will spin. The player reads and plays the disc.

Any tracks that the player does not recognise will be ignored.

(This disc has 4 Folders and a total of 50 tracks)

Most MP3 discs are organised in folders. The disc is called the 'root' folder:
tracks put on the disc (not in a folder)will play first. Folders are like albums -
each one containing one or more songs. Discs should have no more than 40
folders (directories) and no more than 99 MP3 files in any folder.

The disc plays the first track in the ROOT folder. When all the tracks are played
it will then play all the tracks in the second folder and so on.

the end of a folder, the next press will select the first track in the next folder.

PAUSE and Track Search work as in CD mode.

ESP is enabled during MP3 playback and cannot be switched off.
