PRELIMINARIES

BASIC PLAYER OPERATION

Unpack the player carefully. The packing consists of the player and a pair of
earphones. If any item is damaged or missing contact your nearest Tesco
store. Please have your receipt ready when you call.

Move the OPEN switch to the right to open the CD door.
Remove the packing piece from the CD compartment.
Unwrap the earphones and uncurl the cord.

Retain the packaging. If you decide to dispose of the packing, do so having
regard to any recycling provisions in your area. Please retain these
instructions. If you pass the unit on to a third party, include these instructions.

When the batteries run down the low voltage indicator in the player display
panel will light. Do not run the player on exhausted batteries. Always replace
batteries in pairs and make sure that they are new and of the same type.

Plug the headphone jack into the Headphone Jack socket.
Make sure the

switch is OFF.

HOLD disables all the player controls except playback.. Use this function
when you are on the move to prevent accidental operation of the controls.
Release HOLD to re-enable player controls.

push the down on the CD in the centre of the disc, so that it is firmly in
place on the spindle of the CD player. (To remove a disc, hold it by the
edge while pressing the spindle down and lift off the disc.)

received, the player will switch off after about 30 seconds.

takes time as the player has to decide the format and load the table of
contents (TOC). The CD will then play.

TWICE to switch the player OFF.

information will still be stored and the display will be lit up.

Insert the CD. Press PLAY/PAUSE.

Let the CD load. Press STOP

Press SKIP/SEARCH

repeatedly to select the track.

Press PLAY/PAUSE

to play the CD from this track.

Press SKIP/SEARCH

or

repeatedly to select and play

the CD from the desired track.

Press SKIP/SEARCH

once.

Press and hold SKIP/SEARCH

or

to quickly scan the

disc so you can reach the passage.

Release SKIP/SEARCH

to resume normal play.

Press the

switch to cycle the player through four functions.
