7.17. DISASSEMBLING THE TREAD-BELT MOTOR

Carry out the procedure described in paragraph
7.8. “Disassembling the motor guard” and 7.11.
“Disassembling shield grid for tread belt motor
and inverter”.
1. Raise the machine to its maximum incline
position.
2. Remove the dust guard

3. Back off the 4 screws

on the TREAD-
BELT MOTOR cover using a large Philips
screwdriver.
4. Back off the cable clamp

5. Open the cover

6. Disconnect:
•
the 3 phase cables
d
using a 7-mm
wrench;
•
the earth cable
e
using a large Philips
screwdriver;
•
the motor thermal cutout
f
using a small
flat blade screwdriver.
Be careful not to drop the nuts and
washers inside the TREAD-BELT
MOTOR.

7. Back off the 2 outer nuts

and the 2 inner
nuts
h
using a 13-mm wrench.
8. Shift the TREAD-BELT MOTOR toward the
motor roller.
