HECKING THE STATE OF WEAR OF THE CHAIN
1. Check the state wear of the chain, inspecting its entire length. Replace if links are jammed
and/or have excessive play.
2. Check the tension and the alignment of the chain. Adjust them if necessary.

UBRICATION
1. Lubricate the chain with chain spray grease.
2. After lubricating, move the pedals a few times.

HECKING THE STATE OF WEAR OF THE ALTERNATOR BELT
1. Check the state of wear of the belt, turning it by hand using the alternator flywheel. In
particular, check the edges and the inner part of the belt. Replace if it shows evident signs of
wear.
2. Check the tension and the alignment of the belt. Adjust them if necessary.

HECKING THE PLAY OF THE SADDLE STEM
1. Start exercising, moving the weight of your body backwards and forwards, and from left to
right. Check whether the saddle stem exhibits excessive play in following these shifts in body
weight. Adjust the amount of play if necessary.

HECKING THE OPERATION OF THE CARDIO RECEIVER
1. Using a separate heart rate monitor, put on the transmitter strap and check that the machine and
the separate monitor both measure the same heart rate, and that when the strap is disconnected
the machine does not receive any signal.
2. Using a heart rate frequency simulator, check that the machine detects the variations in the heart
rate.
3. If the machine is equipped with a coded receiver (PCD technology), put on the coded strap and
wait for the machine to display the measured heart rate. At this point, using a heart rate
frequency simulator, check that the machine does not detect its presence and doesn’t alter the
previously measured heart rate.

HECKING THE RESISTANCE SETTING
1. Select the manual training program and check that, when the difficulty level is changed, the
resistance of the machine varies accordingly.

HECKING THE NOISE OF THE BRUSHES
1. With no workout program selected, check that the alternator brushes do not make any noise.
Replace them or smooth down their profile if they show evident signs of wear.
