If the compressor is damaged or if it needs replacement, retrieve the refrigerant gas and oil and
prevent spreading into the environment.
5_6_______CLEANING THE REFRIGERATION UNIT’S CONDENSER

5_7_______UNIT FITTED WITH ELECTRIC DEFROSTING.
If the cabinet has electric defrost, avoid touching the heating element of units fitted with electric
defrosting, as they may still be hot after defrosting cycle. Wait until it cools off, then proceed
with maintenance and cleaning operations.
Wear protective gloves.
5_8_____WASTE MANAGEMENT — DISPOSAL OF MATERIALS
Electrical and electronic equipment such as lamps, electronic controls, electrical
switches, electrical motors, compressors and, in general, any other electrical mate-
rial, must be disposed of and/or recycled separately from urban wastes, in accor-
dance to the procedures indicated by the norms concerning the subject, in force in
each country.
Furthermore, all the materials that make up the product, such as:
steel sheets, copper, and aluminum, plastic and rubber, glass, foamed polyurethane compo-
nents, and the like;
refrigerant gas or refrigerant oil must be stocked in appropriate cans, and not discharged
into the sewage system;
must be recycled and/or disposed of in accordance to the procedures indicated by the norms in
force concerning the subject. Please be reminded that the abusive disposal of the product by
the user entails the application of administrative sanctions established by the norms in force.
Check the address locations in your area of the disposal site and/or the authorized centers for
the management and handling of waste, to correctly dispose of the product.
