- never leave cooking food unattended,
- most metal utensils may be used, except knives and whisks. Avoid using sharp-edged utensils, and avoid cutting directly
in the pan. Do not gouge the non-stick surface. Slight surface marks or abrasions are normal and will not affect the
performance of the non-stick coating.
• Cleaning instructions:
- clean the inner and outer coatings of your pan with hot water, liquid detergent and a sponge (scouring powder and
scouring pads are not recommended),
- if placed in the dishwasher, the outer coating may become dulled and discolored due to the action of certain detergents.
Our guarantee does not cover this type of wear.
CAUTION
We recomend not to put your pots and pans in the dishwasher since washing detergents (especially tablets)
contain very agressive and corrosive ingredients for aluminum parts.
By following these care instructions, you will prevent the emission of fumes from pans that have been overheated. These
fumes could be dangerous for animals with very sensitive respiratory system such as birds. We recommend that birds should
not be kept in the kitchen.
• Use in the oven:
- TEFAL cookware items that come with stainless steel and silicone handles are oven safe up to 260°C (500°F) for a
maximum of one hour at a time,
- TEFAL cookware items cannot be used in a micro-wave.
• Induction:
Induction is a new heating method which is much faster and more powerful than existing systems (gas, electric, halogen
and ceramic hobs). To guarantee the performance of your induction pan, never heat it when empty on the maximum setting
because this could damage the nonstick coating and warp the bottom. You should also consult the operating instructions
for your induction plate.
For the special induction bottom of your pan: dry it each time you wash it. Yellowing is normal: use washing-up liquid and
an abrasive sponge only on the stainless steel bottom to restore its shine.
• For the safety of children:
Never leave the handle of your pan sticking out over the edge of the cooker. Never put a hot pan on the floor or near the
edge of a kitchen surface. Let it cool down and keep out of reach of children. Use a lid to prevent burns caused by splashing.
