Maintenance hints
The pond motor pump is a practice-proven quality product subjected to rigorous final inspections. How-
ever, for a long working life and continuous operation, we recommend regular checking and proper care.
To ensure proper operation of the pump, it is necessary that you perform regular cleaning. We recom-
mend that the pump be cleaned on a weekly basis.
Overload protection
The pump has an integrated overheat protection. After the pump has been stopped by the overheat
control device, it must cool down for a while before being able to run again. In case it does not run again
by itself, the following checks shall be made:
Could the pump cool down sufficiently after having been stopped by the overheat protection?
Is the water supply sufficient?
>
Improve the water supply!
Is the filter contaminated?
>
Clean it (see instructions)!
Is the hose or the pipe blocked?
>
Clean them!
Is the hose broken, too long?
>
Check, replace, shorten!
Maintaining and cleaning
Perform cleaning of the pump and filter basket on a weekly basket and when the performance of
the pump diminishes.
1.
Disconnect the pump from the electricity supply before carrying out any maintenance work.
2.
Retract the suction basket and filter basket
(5 and 9).
3.
Remove any dirt with a soft brush or a sponge under running water.
4.
Also clean the rotor and pump outlet
(6, 4, and 2)
from residues and dirt.
5.
When reassembling the device, make sure that every element is at its correct position and is
tight.
ATTENTION:
The motor housing must not be opened.
Storage during winter
1.
Take the pump out of the water and disconnect it from the power supply.
2.
Clean the pump as described in the instructions.
3.
Check the pump for damage such as cracks in the housing.
4.
Store the pump under frost-free condition and, if possible, in a container with water.
ATTENTION:
The power plug must not get into contact with water!
