Creating and Encrypting Configuration Files
Use file
ipg_example.cfg
, as an example to create your own configuration file. Valid
commands can be found in the file
282_Autoconfig.pdf
. The “root” file name must be of
format
ipg_xxxx.cfg
. For added security, you can encrypt the “root” and General
configuration files.
To encrypt a configuration file:
1.
Install the encryption key(s) into the Gateway (see sections
Installing a General Configuration File Encryption Key
The maximum size is 64 characters.
2.
Encrypt the configuration file with the
gwBin
utility using the same encryption key that
you entered into the Gateway. Make sure that the name given to the encrypted file is of
format
ipg_xxxx.cfg
.
