Trouble shooting 

      The following symptoms may not always be the troubles in the TV unit. Before requesting service, please 
check according to the following methods. 
 

Symptoms 

Check and Correct 

No picture and no sound

heck whether the power plug of the TV unit is plugged in.   

Check that the power switch is on..   
Check that correct voltage is being used. 

No picture and good 
sound 

Adjust brightness and contrast. 

No sound and good 
picture 

Press V+ or press mute button once or twice. 
Check that the sound system is correct. 

  Snowy picture and noise 

Check the antenna connection and direction of antenna. Check the 
fine-tuning of frequency. 

  Black and white picture     

Adjust the color level. 
Adjust frequency with fine-tuning function.   
Check whether the system is correct or not. PAL or NTSC 

  Double images or ghosts 

A high directional antenna or cable-broadcasting signal may improve 
the picture. 

  Stripe in picture 

This may be caused by cars, neon lamp etc. 
 

 Color spot 

There is a colour spot because the TV is turned to an angle, turn off the 
TV for 15 minutes at least, then turn it on again. 

  Turn off remaining light 

When turning off the TV, there is remaining light on the screen for 1-3 
seconds, which is normal, and does not harm the tube.
