For the transmission towards monitoring station, the remote monitoring servers have to be
configured and ordered into schemes.
4.7.1 Surveillance settings menu point
Pager 7 is able to manage two types of remote monitoring protocol, these are TELLMON and
SIA protocols.
To add a new remote monitoring station, the name of it can be freely chosen, however further
data necessary for configuration can be provided by the remote monitoring station.
Parameters have to be fulfilled in case of TELLMON and SIA protocol as well:
Client ID:
A four-character-long identifier, which is used by the remote monitoring station to identify users.
It can contain numbers and A, B, C, D, E and F letters.
Secondary Client ID:
In case of the remote monitoring station requires, a secondary Client ID needs to be given for
client identification. The minimal length of this identifier is 3, the maximal is 16 characters.
Encryption key:
If the remote monitoring station’s server is using encrypted communication, the required key has
to be entered into this field. The length of the key can be 16, 32 or 64 characters.
Keep alive frequency:
By entering the keep alive frequency, you can configure the frequency of status reports sent
towards the remote monitoring server. This number needs to be synchronized with the receiver
of the remote monitoring station.
URL:
Here you can enter the URL of the remote monitoring server.
Protocol:
Determined by the remote monitoring station, too whether it uses TCP or UDP protocol.
