7.2. Inbound call gateway
In its basic function DIAL-112, when receives a direct call to internal GSM module, diverts the call
to the PBX ISDN line; if you receive the caller identification it will be send by DIAL-112 to PBX so it
can appear on the phone display. After the answer, the caller and the called are in communication.
There is no timeout for incoming calls. Optionally, you can activate the DISA service (similar
service found in many PBX): the system does not immediately forward a call to the PBX, but
responds and sends a selection tone to the caller, which can type an extension number via DTMF.
Setting the correct box, it is possible to ignore all incoming calls (the internal GSM module rejects
it). The function is useful for maintaining the system always available for outgoing calls.
Note: This setup has the disadvantage of preventing the system programming by remote call.
7.3. Table of numbers and prefixes
It is possible to enter numbers or area codes or part numbers in a table so that DIAL-112 make
direct calls to those numbers only (see par. 8.3). Any other number will be blocked. If the table is
left empty, it is ignored. Numbers or prefixes in this table are at most 150.
7.3.1.
Outgoing calls
It is possible to enter numbers or area codes or part numbers in a table so that DIAL-112 does not
make direct calls to those numbers (see par. 8.3). For example, inserting the value "06" will inhibit
all calls to fixed networks in Rome, entering "02615441" will inhibit direct calls to this complete
number. Entering "144" will be blocked the calls to the italian paying service centers. It is useful for
blocking calls to fixed network (not cheap by using GSM network) or unwanted, when the PBX
does not have the ARS service or to DIAL-112 is connected only a telephone. Enter a specific
prefix, such as "345" and tick the field "Deny", all the numbers that begins with these digits cannot
be called. Introducing the table with the number "3451234567" and tick the field "Allow" will be
done the call to and only to this number, despite the presence of the prefix blocked. So the rule is
that the number allowed take priority over those defined as being denied.
7.3.2.
Incoming calls
Similarly as for outgoing calls, the tables fields can be compiled for incoming calls to block or allow
the reception of calls from particular numbers or area codes (see par. 8.3). This function is useful
to discriminate calls from certain geographical areas in the case of numbers from a landline. Very
useful in case of a company with outside staff that constantly moving himselfs that often need to
contact the company. In this situation these phone numbers (added to the table with the field
"Allow" enabled), can call the company, while other generic callers or that do not show the CLI will
be rejected automatically by the system. This creates a kind of preferential channels which
provides a high availability to authorized callers only.
7.3.3.
Criteria for the use of the SIM cards inserted in the GSM modules
Automatically, call by call, DIAL-112 can decide which one of the two GSM modules must use. The
choice can be made with one of the following ways: The first free module, through LCR (controls
the first digit of the dialed number and according to them decide which way the call is routed),
alternating, in an equitable manner but the calls duration (allows to distribute traffic to the two GSM
operators or two SIM) through channel B (B1 is sent on GSM module No.1 and B2 on GSM
module No.2; in this configuration, incoming calls also will be presented on the same ISDN
channels). However, if you activate the count prepaid minutes feature, the system will always use
the SIM with more minutes available.
For each module there are four "LCR Prefixes” fields to fill for up to four area codes that govern the
use (see par. 8.2). You can also enable a feature so if the module set through "LCR Prefixes” is
busy, the call can be made through the other module; set the "Use module 2 if busy" for the first
