USING THE ROBOT FOR JOBS UNDER
THE LEVEL SURFACE
(Models 5000 and 8000)
In the event of jobs to be carried out under the surface
level (for instance under the vaults of a bridge, etc.) the
robot coupling point must be modified. To this end:
•
Release the robot from the handler.
•
Release the platform from boom and cylinder and
refit it turned upside down.
•
Reverse the robot and re-couple to the handler.
•
Refit the proximity switch of the attachment locking
and fix it to the special hole, then check the sensor
distance (refer to the operator’s handbook of the han-
dler, Maintenance section “
Adjusting the sensor
distance
”).
CAUTION
To handle (reverse) platform and robot, use hoisting
appliances fitted with special accessories having a
suitable capacity for the load to be handled (refer to
the technical data indicated in this manual, pages
13-14).
