NOTE
Do not use the yogurt you prepared yourself as a culture too many times in a row to
prevent subsequent batches from losing their flavour or being more difficult to prepare.
• Make sure the milk or yogurt purchased is at room temperature.
• Pour the milk into a bowl and add either the yogurt cultures or a jar of plain yogurt. Mix
well until the yogurt is completely dissolved into the milk to obtain a smooth mixture.
• Pour the mixture into the jars (5) of the yogurt maker.
• Connect the power cord (4) of the device to the plug of the power outlet.
• Place the jars (5) containing the mixture inside the yogurt maker (2) and place the lid
(1) on the appliance.
• Turn the power switch (3) to the I position (ON), to turn on the appliance: the light
connected to the switch will illuminate.
• The time required to make the yogurt is about 9 - 12h.
• When the yogurt is ready, turn off the appliance by placing the switch (3) in the O
position (OFF) (the light on the switch will turn off) and remove the plug from the socket.
• Close the jars with lids (6) and place them in the refrigerator: wait about two to three
hours before using them.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
• Do not move the yogurt maker during operation and do not place it on work surfaces
subjected to shock, vibrations or drafts since these conditions could prevent the yogurt
from being made properly.
• Yogurt can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a maximum of 7 days.
• Never place the entire appliance in the refrigerator.
• Do not operate the appliance while empty.
• If the yogurt is not of the proper consistency or is still too liquid, the operating time
can be increased by 2-3 hours.
• To obtain the most consistent and creamy yogurt, add 1-2 tablespoons of powdered
milk to the mixture to be poured into the jars.
• To aid in preservation, fill the jars fully before placing them in the refrigerator to allow
less air inside the jar. The shelf life of the prepared yogurt depends on how it is stored,
on how full the jars and on the freshness of the main ingredients.
• To produce a smaller amount of yogurt, be sure to fill the remaining jars with water.
• To prepare flavoured yogurt, simply add pieces of fruit, jam or syrup to the already
prepared yogurt.
• Always clean jars and lids thoroughly since even the smallest traces of detergent, old
yogurt, etc. could compromise the results of the prepared yogurt.
