Store the iron preferably on the back cover (8) (vertically) in a safe and dry place.
 

Do not store the iron with water in the tank!

14 – CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING! Disconnect  

the plug from the socket and wait for the

iron to cool before performing any cleaning or maintenance work.

Do not 

use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects to clean the plate and other parts

of the iron; Just use a soft damp cloth.

Do not

 use descalers, although they are specific to steam irons, may permanently

damage the inner parts of the iron.

eta iron is provided with a special resin filter cartridge integrated in the

water tank, it softens the water and prevents limescale to build-up in the soleplate.
This   extends   considerably   the   operating   life   of   your   iron.  The   resin   filter   is
permanent and does not need replacing. 
When  the   appliance   has   cooled   down,   clean   the   iron   with   a   cloth   or   a   damp
sponge.   Use   a   light,   non-abrasive   cleanser.  After   cleaning   the   plate,   use   the
automatic cleaning function to remove detergent residues from the steam outlet
holes. 

15 – SELF CLEANING

The self-cleaning system removes dirt and lime forming in the steam chamber: 

1. Fill the water tank, preferably distilled, as indicated in paragraph 3, to the MAX

mark (16) level. 

2. Set temperature knob (14) to MAX
3. Leave off or switch off, steam function green light button (6) is off.
4. Wait until temperature is ready, red indicator light (7) go off.
5. Disconnect the iron and hold it horizontally over a sink.
6. Hold depressed  down the automatic cleaning button (17) for about 1 minute

and shake the iron: Steam will begin to form.  After a few seconds, the plate
will leak out of the water that will flush the particles of dirt and lime from the
vaporization chamber.

7. Connect the iron to the power supply and wait for it to warm up again; wait

until evaporating the remaining water into the soleplate.

8. Disconnect  the  iron  from  the  power   supply  and  allow  it to cool  completely;

When cold, clean the soleplate with a damp cloth and empty the tank   from
remaining water.
