STARTING UP
•
Place the appliance on a stable horizontal surface.
•
Place the rest rubber pad (18) at the point for you more comfortable ironing, always
within the possible range of movement of the monotube (7).
•
Place the iron on the rest rubber pad (18)
•
Fill the boiler as specified in the paragraph “HOW TO FILL THE BOILER WITH WATER”.
•
Unwrap the power cable all the way to its length and plug the plug into the socket.
•
Press the iron ON/OFF light switch (3).
•
Turn the iron temperature control knob (13) to the chosen temperature for ironing.
•
The iron indicator light (15) will light up and turn off after a few minutes, when the set
temperature has reached.
•
When the “Steam ready” light (5) lights ON, the appliance is ready to get steam.
•
During operation, the iron light (15) and the “steam ready” light (5) turn on and turn off
indicating that iron temperature and boiler inner pressure are under control.
•
During ironing pauses, place the iron on the rubber pad (18).
IRONING
•
Press pushbutton (16) in order to get steam to come out from iron soleplate (12): the
steam will stop to come out when you release the button (16).
•
To use the continuous steam function, press the steam button (16) and at the same
time slide the cursor (16a) backwards, pushbutton (16) is locked held down. In order
to release the steam pushbutton (16), slide forward the cursor (16a), pushbutton (16)
will unlock.
•
By means of steam flow control knob (6), it is possible to adjust the steam quantity
needed for ironing: to increase steam quantity turn knob clockwise, to reduce steam
quantity turn knob counterclockwise.
•
With the iron held upright at a distance of 20 cm you can use the jet of steam to smooth
out creases and freshen up clothes while they are hanging. Do not carry out this
operation on any worn cloth because the steam is extremely hot and it will get burns.
TIPS:
•
Before you start ironing delicate fabrics and/or you are not sure of the nature of the
tissue, set a lower temperature, wait for the lamp (15) turn on again and make a test
to a small hidden point of the cloth, such as an hem or a lapel.
•
The iron heat up much faster than cooling down, so it is advisable to start ironing the
most delicate fabrics that require lower temperatures as first, then switch to the most
rugged fabrics that require higher temperatures.
VERTICAL IRONING
•
By placing the iron vertically at a distance of about 20 cm, steam can be delivered to
brighten tissues and give them new freshness.
WARNING!
Do not do this on clothes while weared because steam is very hot and may cause
burns!
WARNING!
•
Some drops of water may come out from iron soleplate (12) when first shot of
steam come out, that is quite normal and is due to some water condensation
has formed inside the iron-boiler connecting monotube (7). This will disappear
