C) TO ADJUST
To adjust the Lever for play or stiffness, please use a 6 mm wrench
(not included).
• If the Lever requires too much force to open or close, shorten the
Adjustment Bolt by rotating one spring lock click (1/6 turn) away
from Security Knob.
• If the Lever can easily open or close, lengthen the Adjustment Bolt
by rotating one spring lock click (1/6 turn) toward Security Knob.
• To quickly determine whether or not the Lever is properly adjusted,
gently try to open the Lever without lifting the Security Knob. You
should feel it spring back to keep the Hinge Lever in place.
Riding your bike with an improperly adjusted hinge and/or broken Safety Pin could cause injury and harm.
The Retainer Screw is not used to adjust the Lever tightness. Only fine-tune the Lever tightness by readjusting the Adjustment Bolt.
Do not tamper with the Retainer Screw at any time unless disassembling. Always apply Loctite if the Retainer Screw is removed and
reinstalled.
